Membership Refund Policy¶
1. Non-refundable nature of membership¶
All SICIC membership fees are non-refundable upon payment. Membership is a lifetime access entitlement that takes effect immediately upon confirmation of payment. By completing payment, the member acknowledges that the membership service has commenced and expressly consents to the waiver of any applicable cancellation right.
2. Basis under UK Consumer Rights Act 2015¶
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, consumers ordinarily have a 14-day right to cancel distance contracts. However, this right does not apply where:
- the service has been fully performed
- the consumer has given prior express consent to performance beginning before the cancellation period has expired and acknowledged that the right to cancel will be lost
By proceeding with payment, the member provides such consent and acknowledgement.
3. Pre-purchase evaluation¶
SICIC membership is accessible only through an invitation-only process that requires prior completion of a paid workshop. Members have therefore had a meaningful opportunity to evaluate the community, curriculum, and culture before committing to membership. No refund will be issued on the basis that expectations were not met.
4. Exceptional circumstances¶
SICIC reserves the right to consider refund requests in exceptional circumstances at its sole discretion. Such requests must be submitted in writing to publication@sicic.org within 7 days of payment. The decision of SICIC's directors shall be final.
5. Membership transfer¶
Membership is personal and non-transferable. It may not be assigned, gifted, or sold to another individual.
Workshop Refund Policy¶
Super Individuals CIC ("SICIC")
Last updated: April 2026
1. General principle¶
Workshop fees are non-refundable once the workshop has commenced. Prior to commencement, refund eligibility is determined by the notice period given, as set out below.
2. Cancellation by the participant¶
| Notice given before workshop start | Refund |
|---|---|
| More than 7 days | Full refund |
| 3-7 days | 50% refund |
| Less than 3 days | No refund |
| After workshop has commenced | No refund |
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to publication@sicic.org. The date of receipt of the written request determines the applicable notice period.
3. Deferral option¶
In lieu of a refund, participants who cancel with at least 3 days' notice may request to defer their place to the next available cohort of the same workshop stream. Deferral is subject to availability and may be exercised once only. Deferred places have no cash value and cannot be transferred to another individual.
4. Cancellation by SICIC¶
In the event that SICIC cancels a workshop before it commences, participants will receive a full refund or, at their election, a deferred place in the next available cohort. SICIC's liability in such circumstances is limited to the workshop fee paid and does not extend to any travel, accommodation, or other costs incurred by the participant.
SICIC reserves the right to reschedule a workshop with reasonable notice. Rescheduling does not entitle participants to a refund unless the new date is materially inconvenient and no suitable alternative is offered.
5. No-shows¶
Participants who do not attend a workshop without prior written cancellation are not entitled to a refund or deferral.
6. Exceptional circumstances¶
SICIC may consider refund requests outside the above framework in genuinely exceptional circumstances, for example serious illness or bereavement, at its sole discretion. Such requests must be submitted within 7 days of the missed workshop with supporting documentation where appropriate.
7. Consumer rights¶
Where applicable, nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
