Super Individuals CIC ("SICIC", "we", "us", "our")

1. Who we are

Super Individuals CIC is a Community Interest Company registered in England and Wales. We operate an invitation-only AI agent education community and workshop programme.

Our registered contact for data matters is publication@sicic.org.

2. What personal data we collect

We collect and process the following categories of personal data:

  • Membership and application data: name, email address, professional background, LinkedIn profile URL, and responses submitted via our membership application form.
  • Payment data: name and email address associated with payment. Payment card details are processed directly by Stripe Payments UK Ltd and are not stored by SICIC.
  • Community participation data: messages and interactions within our Telegram and Discord community channels, responses to workshop exercises, and workshop attendance records.
  • Technical data: IP addresses and usage logs generated through interaction with our technical infrastructure, including our Telegram bot (Beacon).
  • Website analytics data: page views, usage events, device/browser information, and related identifiers collected through Google Analytics on our website.
  • Research data: with your separate and explicit consent only, anonymised or identified content from community interactions may be used for academic research into human-AI collaboration. See Section 7.

We rely on the following lawful bases under UK GDPR:

  • Contract performance (Article 6(1)(b)): processing necessary to administer your membership, deliver workshop content, and manage payments.
  • Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)): operating and improving our community platform, ensuring security, and communicating with members about programme updates.
  • Consent (Article 6(1)(a)): where we ask for your agreement before processing, in particular for use of your data in academic research, or for publishing any content featuring you such as spotlights or case studies.
  • Legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)): where processing is required to comply with UK law, including financial record-keeping.

4. How we use your data

We use your personal data to:

  • process and administer your membership application and payment
  • deliver workshop curriculum and community support
  • communicate with you about SICIC programmes and events
  • operate and maintain the safety and integrity of our community
  • comply with our legal and regulatory obligations
  • conduct internal analysis to improve our programmes

5. Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the following categories of third-party processors, under appropriate data processing agreements:

* Where data is transferred outside the UK/EEA, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent UK adequacy mechanisms.

6. How long we keep your data

  • Membership records: for the duration of your membership, plus 6 years thereafter (UK legal requirement for financial records).
  • Application data for unsuccessful applicants: deleted within 12 months of the application decision.
  • Community interaction data (Telegram and Discord): retained while the community is active; members may request deletion of their contributions, subject to technical limitations of the relevant platform.
  • Payment records: 6 years from transaction date, as required by HMRC.

7. Research use of community data

SICIC conducts and supports academic research into human-AI interaction and organisational behaviour. Community interaction data, including Telegram and Discord messages and workshop participation records, represents a longitudinal dataset of value to this research.

We will only use your data for research purposes if you provide separate, explicit, and informed consent. This consent will be sought through a dedicated consent form prior to any research project commencing, and will clearly describe what data will be used, how it will be anonymised where applicable, who will have access, and the intended publication venue.

You may withdraw your research consent at any time without affecting your membership.

8. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you
  • rectify inaccurate data
  • erase your data ("right to be forgotten"), subject to our legal retention obligations
  • restrict processing in certain circumstances
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests
  • data portability for data you provided under contract or consent
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting prior processing

9. Cookies and tracking

Our website uses Google Analytics, which may set cookies or similar tracking technologies to help us understand traffic and improve the site. Our community platforms, including Telegram and Discord, and our payment provider (Stripe) may also set cookies or use tracking technologies on their own platforms. Please refer to their respective privacy policies.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Where changes are material, we will notify members via our community channels with reasonable notice before the changes take effect.
